The Truth About Side Hustles

April Sales Update.

In my March Sales Update I said April would be a month of store maintenance.
For once, I kept my word to myself, and did not buy any new stock for the whole month.
I spent my time rephotographing and updating my oldest listings in the hopes of bumping them up in the search results and overall just making them more appealing. That sounded like a good plan, sounds like something a smart business person would do, right?
Personally, I don’t think I will be doing a no buy month again, but that doesn’t mean I will be giving up on store maintenance.

So how did April actually go?
Whilst I definitely didn’t do the same numbers I did in March, I still managed to make 18 sales, only 3 of those were on Depop, which is slightly disappointing for me. But out of those 18 sales, only 4 of them were old listings that I had revamped.
The rest were relatively new listings that I had put up towards the end of March.
My best sale this month was this lot of vintage lighters I found at my dads house. Which net me $70 profit, I’ve never found them in the wild, but it is worth keeping an eye out for them.

This is how my profit breakdown looks for April.

In March I made 29 sales and just a little bit more than double the profit of this month. Obviously we need to change that. My plan for this month is to continue revamping old listings whilst going back to also listing 5 new items everyday.
My goal is to make more sales than I did in March.
If you’re interested in learning about store maintenance I have a post about it here.
