The Truth About Side Hustles

July – End of Month Recap.

July definitely made me question if reselling was actually for me, on all three platforms I sell on, I only made 23 sales which is an average of 0.74 per day. That number needs to be a lot higher. I was relatively consistent with posting new items, but to be honest I did get lazy towards the end of the month and this is a problem.
I am feeling very stuck, like no matter what I do, I can’t scale this business up.

This is my profit breakdown, which isn’t even enough to pay half of one weeks rent, my best sales this month were both in the 13th of July weekly update which were an Etsy bundle and a Billabong hoodie, but they were only $13/14 dollars profit each

I really wanted to buckle down in August and get back to posting 5 items a day, which is when I was making the most money, but of course the universe had to humble me when my car broke down, which was a $300 expense I wasn’t expecting and meant I couldn’t go out and source, this gave me an idea though and I sourced some items from the 0.99c auctions on eBay and some of the under $5 items on Depop. Once they sell I will find out if this was a mistake or not, because once shipped all the items are $10-$17 dollars, which is a lot more than I like to pay per item.
As always, follow along for to see if sourcing from the places I sell is a good idea.
