My boyfriend gave me a bunch of his old video games to sell, and I was shocked at what some of them have sold for, so I thought I would make this post to help you guys out. These are some old video games to be on the lookout for.
I will add, that my boyfriend is a nerd, a big fan of physical media, and might be a borderline hoarder. So all of these are complete, with manual, and any special additions, and the discs are unscratched.
The first one that sold was Shadow of the Colossus on PS2

It was complete, with a dust jacket, manual, and art prints. To be fair, I feel like this is gonna be very hard to find in an Op-Shop in this condition, but if you have it lying around the house, it sold for $60 plus $5 post.
Shipping actually cost $9.30 but that is because I wasn’t willing to post a $60 game in a tracked envelope as I originally planned. I sent it in a small box instead.
After postage and eBay Fees, we got an extra $45.43 to add to our holiday fund.
The next to sell was actually a PS4 Lego game bundle.

Individually the games aren’t worth much, but if you bundle 5 together like we did, they sold for $40 plus $11 post. These were all complete with manual and discs unscratched. This was bought by someone in the same state as me so postage only cost me $7.95
After Fees and postage, we got $36.04
The next game was Rise of The Tomb Raider. 20th year anniversary edition on PS4. Complete with dust jacket, manual, and art book.

This sold for $20 with a $2.50 post. I did send this one in an untracked envelope.
Which costs about $1.30
So after fees and post, we added another $17.92
As of the 2nd of April, we have sold one more video game bundle of his,
It was a PS3 Lego bundle of 7 games, all complete with manual.
It sold for $60 plus $11 post.

These actually didn’t fit in a small box, so I ended up paying $14.21 in postage for a medium box.
So after fees and postage, we added another $45.61 to the holiday fund.
I still have a couple more up for sale.

I have gotten multiple offers on all of these games, and if they were mine, I probably would have taken the lower offer to keep the eBay algorithm happy. But I’m not selling these for “profit” I am selling these for our holiday fund and I know I have priced them correctly. I just have to wait for the right buyer. But I could have sold all of these 3 times over if I was willing to take a lower offer.
We also have 1 more game that he is not willing to sell yet, as he thinks it will only go up in value.
It is Deadpool on PS4. This game consistently sells for between $100-$150 on eBay depending on condition, and as I mentioned his games are in pristine condition. With the new movie coming out, I think he might be right about it going up in value, so we are holding onto that one.

So if you ever see this game lying around at a garage sale or Op-Shop definitely pick it up.
